Private Care: Get the help you need to live a better quality of life

What is Private Care?

Are you or someone you care for wanting to continue living independently? Can this be achieved with capable assistance in day-to-day errands and chores?

Or are you a caregiver or a member of extended family who could use a skilled pair of hands in caring for a loved one?

Dignity Private Care offers 24-hour care and support for patients, caregivers and extended family. Private Care encompasses a wide spectrum of activity, with the most common being assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), homemaking, companionship and medication reminders. Some of the more common programs we offer are outlined below. All are priced by the hour or day.

For patients convalescing after surgery, Dignity can assign an experienced aide to assist with bandaging, moving about, cooking, cleaning and doing household chores. We also help with errands, driving a patient to and from doctor appointments, and other common tasks.

On occasion, a patient may feel that he or she is leaving the hospital too soon. Dignity Private Care can design a customized post-hospitalization program that tapers hours as the patient gains strength.

When an elderly loved one moves into a new community or into a family member’s home, the transition can be a difficult one. Designed with the Alzheimer’s or dementia patient in mind, we can provide assistance in chores such as packing all the way to extra care prior to and after the move.

“Thanks to Dignity, my father is steadily improving since his release from rehab at a skilled nursing facility. I was apprehensive about bringing him home, but in my heart was convinced it was not just the best way, but the only way to get him into a sustainable situation for the long term. The caregivers are a big part of my dad’s success at home. In addition to helping him with his activities of daily living, the Dignity team has allowed my husband and me to continue to have a remarkably normal home life. We can run out for an errand, a movie, a dog walk, or a jog and not worry about the well being of our loved one. Thanks so much for the quality care!”
